Warmer Tone, Cleaner Lines
The little addition on this brick heritage home was ready for a reset. The old white paint was peeling and patchy, and the aluminum window frames were dirty and had faded enough that they no longer matched the rest of the exterior. We helped the owner choose a warm, neutral body colour that plays nicely with the yellow brick and the black railings.
Prep mattered on this one. We scraped and sanded all the loose paint on the wood siding, spot-primed the bare areas and caulked the open seams. The aluminum frames got a thorough TSP (trisodium phosphate) wash and wipe-down, then we finished them to an even, factory-style look that tied the elevation together.
Two careful coats later, the addition reads like part of the original home. No more patchwork white, just a smooth, durable finish with tidy trim. It took about a day and half to complete all the proper prep and painting.
