Extreme Fence Restoration
This driveway fence had great structure but years of sun and sprinklers left it grey, blotchy, and tired around the rails. The owners considered replacement, but the lumber was still solid—what it needed was a proper clean and reset.
We used a wood-specific cleaner and a gentle, low-pressure wash to lift the oxidized layer without chewing up the grain. After dry time, an oxalic brightener brought the colour back and evened out the water marks along the top rails. A light sand knocked down raised fibres and smoothed the boards so they’re ready for finish.
The difference was immediate: warm wood tone, clean posts and caps, and a fence that looks new again at a fraction of the cost of rebuilding. Finally, after two coats of semi-stain the fence is protected from the elements and it looks brand new.
