Backyard Fence Stain

This fence was brand new and still raw, which is the perfect time to lock in colour and protection. The goal was a natural look that reads rich from the patio and holds up through sun and sprinklers.

We started with a light clean to remove dust from construction and let the boards dry fully. Then we worked the fence panel by panel with a stain brush so the stain could soak evenly into the grain and into all the board-on-board overlaps and caps. Posts and top rails were finished last for a consistent tone across the full run.

One careful coat brought the cedar-brown colour to life and sealed the wood from day one. The yard feels more private, the house trim pops, and the fence is ready for years of weather.
