Two-Storey Foyer Refresh

This entry had good bones with the panel moulding and sconces, but the colour felt flat and the walls had patches from previous drywall repairs. The homeowners wanted to lighten the space and sharpen the details so the staircase and trim could really stand out.

We laid out drop sheets over the floor, railing, and stairs, then worked from the top landing down. Small dents and nail pops were filled, and the baseboards were caulked for a tight look. Patches were spot primed, followed by careful brush work around the boxes and fixtures.

The new colour brightens the whole stairwell and the white trim pops again. Natural light bounces deeper into the house and the foyer feels larger the moment you step inside.

Project completed in Mannheim.
